With nearly 20+ years of combined experience working in security, law enforcement, and military worlds, we believe in setting standards, accomplishing goals, and working hard to get where you need to be.
Our mission is to provide the most effective dog training programs that result in a happy, confident, and obedient dog in the shortest amount of time, as well as a happy, confident, and satisfied owner. With over 24 years of professional dog training experience, Melissa is a seasoned expert in the field, where her passion for dogs transcends mere profession. Dogs are not just a job for her; they are her life’s calling, and she is dedicated to sharing her expertise with fellow pet owners to help them achieve their training goals swiftly and effectively. Understanding the challenges that an untrained dog can bring to a household, Melissa is committed to providing solutions that enhance the bond between owners and their canine companions.
Having worked with dogs of all ages, breeds and behavior types. Melissa approaches each training opportunity with enthusiasm and a deep understanding of canine behavior. No training challenge is too big or too small for her, as she welcomes the chance to work with dogs of all backgrounds and temperaments.
Melissa embarked on her professional journey in the military, where she dedicated a decade of honorable service to the United States Air Force. During her tenure in the military, Melissa honed her skills, discipline and commitment to excellence, laying the foundation for her future endeavors in the field of veterinary medicine and dog training.
Her time in the Air Force instilled in her a strong sense of duty, precision, and teamwork, qualities that continue to shape her approach to training and working with dogs. The experience and lessons learned during her military service have equipped Melissa with invaluable tools and a resilient mindset that she brings to her work in the canine training industry.
Melissa’s dedication to animal welfare and care extended beyond her military service to an impressive eight-year tenure in veterinary medicine and as a veterinary technician, During this period, Melissa immersed herself in the field of veterinary medicine, acquiring invaluable knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience in caring for animals and promoting their well-being.
As a Veterinary technician, Melissa played a crucial role in assisting veterinarians, administering treatments, conducting diagnostic tests and providing compassionate care to animals in need. Her commitment to excellence and her compassionate nature made her a trusted and reliable member of the veterinary team, where she demonstrated a deep understanding of animal health and welfare.
Melissa also actively participates in dog sports such as flyball, dock diving, agility, tracking, and barn hunt for the past 25 years showcases her competitive spirit and love for engaging with dogs in various activities. Melissa’s multifaceted experience and unwavering commitment to canine health and training makes her a trusted and respected figure in the dog training community.

His agility, speed and enthusiasm make him a standout performer in these competitive activities, where he showcases his athleticism and love for challenges.

One of K9 Grimm’s most notable roles is in search and rescue missions, where his keen sense of smell, agility, and determination are put to the test in locating missing individuals. Currently, K9 Grimm is undergoing intensive training and preparation to become certified for human remains detection, a challenging and essential task in search and rescue operations. Whiskey, a beloved Border Collie and Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, made a lasting impact as a full-time demo dog with a passion for showcasing his impressive repertoire of obedience and tricks. At 7 years old, Whiskey exuded enthusiasm and dedication in all his endeavors, earning him the title of a hardworking and versatile canine companion.
Known for his love of work and his eagerness to excel, Whiskey approached every task with unwavering commitment and a desire to be the best he could be. His boundless energy and zest for life made him a standout performer in various dog sports, including Flyball, Agility, Obedience, Rally, Dock Dogs, and Splash Dogs. In addition to his athletic pursuits, Whiskey also made a difference as a registered Therapy Dog and Medical Alert Service Dog, bringing comfort and support to those in need.
